FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How does the whole thing work?

A: We have a group of friendly cats for people to come in and interact with. We also provide pet grooming services for both cats and dogs, check out our services this here

Q: Do I have to make a booking?

A: It's strongly recommended. It guarantees you a spot even on our busiest days. Weekend however will require a booking. Make a booking here.

Q: Is there an age limit for children?

A: All ages are welcome, but children 12 and under must be closely supervised by an adult. We ask that parents ensure children follow the Lounge Rules to keep our cats (and kids!) safe.

Q: Are the cats yours?

A: Essentially yes. The cats you will meet in the lounge live here. Meet them here.

Q: Where did all your cats come from?

A: Most of them are surrenders from various people. A few of them are rescued strays.

Q: Are the cats up for adoption? / Do you sell cats?

A: We only rehome the ones that aren't 100% happy here for any reason. For example, those that prefer a quieter life. Check this page to see if there are any cats needing a furrever home right now.

Q: Will the cats scratch/bite me?

A: Our cats are generally very chill with nice trimmed nails, but there is always the risk if they feel like they have had enough pats for a while. A few of them might give a little swipe or nibble to warn people to back off.

Q: Can my cat come play?

A: While we allow personal cat visits, we generally advise against it. Unlike dogs, most cats find new environments and unfamiliar felines highly stressful. However, if your cat is an experienced traveler, comfortable on a harness, and thrives in new social settings, they may enjoy a visit. To ensure the safety of our residents and your pet, you must email us their vaccination and desexing certificates prior to visiting so we can determine the best time for your arrival.

Q: Can I surrender my cat to you?

A: We accept surrenders on a case-by-case basis. Because our lounge is a high-activity social space, it is only a good fit for confident, friendly cats. For cats that are anxious or territorial, a shelter environment is often a kinder choice. Rehoming takes time, and we want to ensure the process isn't overly stressful for your pet or our current residents. Please contact us to discuss if your cat's temperament is a match for the lounge.

Q: Do you groom both cats and dogs?

A: Yes! We offer full-service grooming for both, including breed-specific cuts, de-shedding treatments, and basic hygiene services.

Q: What if my pet is aggressive or very anxious?

A: Safety is our priority. We offer sedative grooming options administered by our Veterinary Technicians for pets that find the process overwhelming. Please contact us to discuss your pet's needs before booking.

Q: Can I host a party at the Cat Lounge?

A: Absolutely! Whether its a birthday, a work social, or just want to pat cats in a private setting. We have two options depending on when you want to celebrate:

  • During Opening Hours ($180): You get exclusive room hire for 90 minutes for your group. This is the best way to enjoy the lounge during the hustle and bustle of the day with a guaranteed private space.

  • After-Hours Events: For a more intimate evening experience, you can book the lounge after we close.

    • Minimum Cost: $100 (covers up to 5 people).
